Molly Montessori Home Education

Curiosity

We honour each child's natural desire to explore, ask questions, and understand the world. Our environment is designed to awaken wonder and encourage children to follow their interests with focus and joy.

We nurture the confidence it takes for children to express themselves, try new things, and trust their inner voice. Every child is treated as a capable individual, and we guide them gently as they grow into themselves.

Courage
Sensitivity
Resilience

We recognise that sensitivity is not weakness but awareness. Children are learning how to navigate a complex world, and our guides create a space where emotional intelligence, empathy, and gentle boundaries are upheld daily.

We support children to move through challenges with grace. Mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process, and we model how to pause, reflect, and try again with care and intention.

Respect
Creativity

We celebrate creative thinking in all its forms, whether through storytelling, problem-solving, making, or movement. Children are given time and space to express their ideas freely and meaningfully.

Our classroom is a shared community where every voice matters. Children help create ground rules and learn to treat themselves, each other, and the environment with respect, compassion, and dignity.

Molly Montessori is a non-profit, co-operative home education initiative run by experienced Montessori guides and a committed parent-led team. We are not a school; we are a thriving Montessori homeschool community. We offer 18 hours of in-person learning per week, and our classroom is intentionally small, with a maximum of 12 children, supported by two qualified guides.

At the heart of our approach is the belief that each child is a unique learner. We follow the child, offering freedom within thoughtfully prepared limits. Our guides provide structure, nurture autonomy, and build meaningful relationships with each child.

Meet the Teachers

Cala is our Montessori guide and parent liaison, working closely with Jazz to lead and support the children’s learning. With almost 20 years of experience as a Montessori leader and former Head of the Children’s House and Director of Education in a leading London Montessori school, she brings a wealth of expertise in guiding mixed-age groups, mentoring educators, and supporting children with a wide range of needs. Cala is also your main point of contact for questions and communication, helping to build strong, trusting partnerships between home and school.

Her qualifications include an MCI 3–6 Montessori Pedagogy Diploma, AMI 6–12 Montessori Assistant Certification, and a Master's in Education and Professional Studies.

Jazz is our lead Montessori guide, supporting the classroom with almost a decade of experience in a Montessori elementary environment. Her role as lead guide reflects her depth of training and her confident practice in the Montessori method, particularly in mixed-age spaces where children learn collaboratively and independently.

With a calm and thoughtful presence, she presents the Great Lessons, plans and sequences the children’s learning, and helps to hold the rhythm of our classroom community. Jazz is deeply committed to following the child, offering freedom within clear limits, and nurturing curiosity, focus, and mutual respect. Her qualifications include an MCI 3–6 Montessori Pedagogy Diploma and an NMAC Montessori 6–12 Diploma.

Classroom Culture

Respect, Responsibility & Real Life Skills

Molly Montessori fosters a peaceful, purposeful, and inclusive classroom culture rooted in Montessori values:

  • Freedom within Limits: Children choose their work within a structure that supports focus and respect

  • Child-Involved Groundrule-Making: Groundrules are co-created with the children and reviewed as the community evolves

  • Mixed-Age Learning: Children benefit from peer mentoring, leadership, and collaboration

  • Conflict Resolution: Tools like the Peace Flower empower children to resolve disagreements with empathy

  • Emotional Literacy: Guides model respectful communication and supports social-emotional development

We aim to build not just academic skills, but also resilience, independence, cooperation, and compassion.
